Introducing: Tiny Stacks
On little readers, beloved books, and the magic of the perfect find
A few years back, I started something that’s become one of my favorite little rituals. Every time we’d visit our local library, I’d snap a picture of our haul — those small stacks of books we’d carefully selected from the children’s section. Not just any books that caught our eye, mind you, but the ones that truly captured my little one’s heart, the stories that got read over and over until we had to return them, the books that earned themselves a permanent spot on our home library wish-list (and eventually our shelves).
There’s something magical about watching a child fall head-over-heels for a book they discovered wandering the library aisles. These aren’t always the bestsellers or the prominently displayed new arrivals. These are serendipitous finds, little literary treasures that somehow found their way to exactly the right reader at exactly the right moment.
So here we are, launching “Tiny Stacks”, my way of celebrating those special discoveries and sharing the books that have become beloved fixtures in our home.
One of the first stacks I captures was particularly rich with finds that immediately became favorites:
📚 Hush, Little Hero by Annie Bailey — A gentle twist on the classic lullaby that had us both swooning
📚 Love is Magic from Disney’s Encanto — Because sometimes you need a little Madrigal magic in your day
📚 Izzy Paints by Tim Miller — An absolute gem that sparked hours of creative play
Each of these made it through the ultimate test: multiple readings without a single “can we read something else?” So into our permanent collection they go.
I’m excited to share more of these tiny library treasures with you. Who knows? Maybe you’ll discover your next favorite read in one of our little stacks.
